I am an experienced Psychodynamic Counsellor working with adults and young people from my private practice in Temple Cloud. I also offer online sessions.
About Me
I am a calm, kind, and thoughtful practitioner who aims to offer a genuine, warm, and supportive therapeutic relationship. Working from a psychodynamic perspective, I will listen carefully and help you explore and understand whatever difficulties may have brought you to counselling.
Understanding that seeking counselling can feel daunting, I offer a safe, confidential space where you can take the time to understand and process your thoughts and feelings without fear of judgement. I believe therapy should be a place where you can simply be yourself, whatever that may look like. Perhaps you do not yet know exactly what that means for you, and that is perfectly okay.
Working in a calm, thoughtful, and compassionate way, I help people explore their emotions, relationships, patterns of behaviour, and life experiences with curiosity and understanding.
I recognise that opening up can take time, so I work gently and at your pace. My aim is to provide a warm and grounded therapeutic relationship in which you feel heard, supported, and accepted. By exploring both past and present experiences together, we can begin to develop greater clarity and insight, creating the conditions for meaningful and lasting change.
I work collaboratively with adults and young people experiencing a wide range of emotional and psychological difficulties. My approach supports clients in developing greater self-awareness, emotional resilience, and lasting change.

First Session
I offer a free 20-minute introductory telephone consultation before our first meeting. This gives us an opportunity to discuss what has brought you to therapy and to explore whether we feel like the right fit for one another.
If we decide to work together, sessions are held weekly and last 50 minutes.
Fees
Sessions are £65 per session.
I believe therapy should be as accessible as possible and therefore offer two reduced-fee spaces for clients on a low income or experiencing financial difficulties. Please feel free to enquire about current availability.
Questions
Finding the Right Therapist

Finding the right therapist is an important part of the therapeutic process.
I often think therapists are a bit like books. We do not all enjoy the same books, do we? We are drawn to different genres, writing styles, and ways of seeing the world. What resonates with one person may leave another feeling disconnected.
The same is true of therapy. Every therapist brings their own personality, approach, and way of working. Not every therapist will feel like the right fit for every person, and that is perfectly natural.
Like books, therapists can be more complex than first impressions suggest. A therapist may initially remind you of someone you are unsure about, or their manner may feel unfamiliar. Sometimes these first reactions can soften over time, allowing something meaningful to develop. Equally, there are times when a therapist simply does not feel right for you, and it is important to trust that too.
The therapeutic relationship is one of the most significant factors in successful therapy. This is why I offer an introductory consultation, giving us an opportunity to get a sense of one another and explore whether we might work well together.
If you feel able to, I encourage you to share any concerns or uncertainties you may have from the outset. Often, exploring these thoughts together can be valuable in itself.
My role is not to persuade you that I am the right therapist for you. Rather, I hope to help you reflect on what you need and what kind of support feels most appropriate. Whether we decide to work together or not, I will do my best to help you find the support that feels right for you.
