How Long Does Therapy Take?

The length of therapy varies from person to person and depends on what brings you to therapy.

Short-term therapy, often lasting between three and six months, can be helpful when focusing on a specific difficulty, life event, or emotional challenge.

Longer-term therapy may be beneficial if you wish to explore more deeply rooted issues, such as childhood experiences, recurring relationship difficulties, trauma, low self-esteem, or long-standing patterns of behaviour.

During our initial conversations, we can discuss your hopes for therapy and think together about what may be most helpful for you.
